“El Mensajero” (The Messenger) is the third painting of “The Guardians of the Jungle” series.
 
For the Mayan people, the hummingbird was a messenger of the gods. The gods created hummingbird from a small jade arrow and gave her life so that she could fly between the worlds and bring messages from the gods and from the ancestors. For me, these beautiful little birds have been messengers of good news and omens since I moved to Mexico.  What message does the hummingbird bring to you?
