BIOGRAPHY

Since I was child, I have wanted to tell stories. Writing them down, or in a visual form, through drawings, paintings and different forms of crafts.

There was a moment in my life, however, when I tried to hide myself, make myself small. I didn't want to be seen, I didn't think I deserved it. And it was a period in which I tried to tell stories only through crafts. I only draw small things on birthday cards and things like that.

Since 2018, and especially since 2020, I have gotten my voice back. I want to tell the world stories, and bring attention to things that are important to me, such as nature, human rights and violence prevention.

I was born in Finland and lived there my first 20 years. But since little, I was always fascinated with Latin America and just knew I would some day visit the continent. My first touch with Latin America was student exchange in 2003 in Santiago de Chile. In 2005, I came first time to Mexico and since 2006, Mexico has been my home. My art shows influences of both Finland and Mexico. Many of my works draw influences or are directly based on Finnish mythology and nature, but my actual home country, Mexico, has also given me so much inspiration.
